I heard from a number of coaches who read Vin Mercogliano’s column on the issues the compressed schedule is creating. Most expressed concern for injury. There is so little time in this schedule for recovery, most are cutting back on practice. It’s a double whammy. Some are talking about cutting back the schedule. I can’t recall cutbacks ever being restored so that’s probably best left as a last resort.
